An update on my broken solar panel glass video after 5 months and a winter outdoors. Still going strong, no discoloration or water intrusion so I’m quite pleased with this fix!
See the earlier article where I performed the fix here: https://www.freelearner.how/2017/10/10/fixing-broken-solar-panel-glass/

Thanks for the video of the repair and the follow up. I have been thinking about doing the same repair work and was wondering what I should use.
Hello Erik I was following your article on the fixing the broken solar, its quite along time now since you applied the qsil 216 fix, how was your solar panel going on?, Is there yellowing or oxidation on the surface?
Hey Dube, thanks for checking in! No I’ve not seen any yellowing or oxidation. The biggest complaint I have is that it’s a softer surface than glass; the panel I repaired is under a tree so occasionally it’ll get sap or other tree droppings on in and it’s harder to clean than glass (glass of course I could just run a utility knife across).
